Distribution of Vascular Plant Communities in Slovenian Watercourses
نویسندگان
چکیده
Rivers and streams are heterogenous ecosystems that host a great number of vascular plant communities. The territory Slovenia is highly diverse regarding geomorphologic, geologic, climatic, edaphic conditions. We presumed environmental variability will also affect the distribution hygrophilous plants in running waters consequently structure communities they form. analyzed macrophyte, spatial, parameters 906 stretches watercourses occurring Dinaric, Pannonian, Po lowland hydro-ecoregions. determined 87 taxa. most abundant were Myriophyllum spicatum, Phalaris arundinacea, Potamogeton nodosus. Submerged macrophytes presented about one third total species abundance, while amphiphytes somewhat less abundant. Canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) revealed distance from source explained 15.1% growth form type variability, current velocity latitude 4.1% each. With assessed parameters, we 31.6% variability. When CCA was run with taxa, only 20.9% their statistically significant parameters. distinguished 25 different associations belonging to five classes nine alliances. majority defined distributed Only seven had narrower range, three them on karst poljes. Among them, new association Mentho aquaticae-Oenanthetum fistulosae river Mali Obrh Loško polje described this contribution.

Evaluating changes in the plant communities after overgrazing in the Golbahar plain, northeast of Iran
Overgrazing affects plant communities, and is a significant disturbance factor in arid and semi-arid regions. The immediate changes of plant communities after overgrazing in the disturbed arid ecosystems of Iran have been poorly studied. We recorded data from 100 random samples before and after overgrazing in the Golbahar plain located in the northeastern Iran to determine the changes in the pl...
متن کاملAssembly of Plant Communities
• Communities are located within a larger species pool of potential colonists. The study of community assembly considers the mechanisms by which local communities are formed from the species pool. • Dispersal from the species pool, abiotic tolerance of colonists, and biotic interactions can all influence membership in local communities. • Phenotypic similarities and differences of co-occurring ...
متن کاملEffects of Topographical Factors on Distribution of Plant Communities in Semi-Steppe Grasslands (Case Study: Ghorkhud Region, Northern Khorasan Province, Iran)
Abstract. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of topographical factors on the classification of grassland plant communities in the rangelands of Ghorkhud, Northern Khorasan Province, Iran. For sampling, land units were specified. A floristic list was prepared using minimal area method based on the nested plot (Braun-Blanquet method). 116 10m2 furrows were selected. Within e...
متن کاملPlant Communities in Eastern Mongolia
In this contribution is presented a phytosociological description of plant communities, recorded in the phytogeographical district of Eastern Mongolia, including parts of the Dornod (Eastern) and the Choybalsan aymags. The whole district is characterized by steppe vegetation. Other vegetation types, like elm (Ulmus pumila) bush vegetation, shrubbery on sandy and rocky sites, Salix miyabeana bus...
